Following the success of last years event, the competition for the Best Elton Christmas House Decoration was held again in December 2021. Judging took place on Sunday 12 December and our Judge this year was Cllr Tony Morley from Doveridge.
After a walk and drive around Elton to view the lights and decorations at each house, Tony decided that the winners were….
1st – Alan Cooper of 11 East End with his ‘Santa on a tractor’.
2nd – Georgi Hardy of 3 Alice’s Cottages with her ‘Tree-cycling’.
3rd – The Jones family of Blakelow House, Back Lane with the ‘house bow’.

This is the second year the competition has been held and the second year that Alan Cooper has won the competition! Can he be beaten?! Maybe next year….
Tony said what a delight it had been to see the lights and the amazing efforts some households had gone to. He went on to say that it was a tough to pick the winners but it was lovely to see the village looking so bright and festive.
