Set in the Peak District village of Elton, our Village Hall is a great venue for birthday parties, family celebrations, fundraisers, club activities, group meetings and other gatherings.

This former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel is located on the main street, close to All Saints Church in a pleasant rural setting.

The facility boasts a main hall with stage area, a fully equipped kitchen, toilets, disabled access, tables and chairs and other facilities for use on your visit. The number of persons allowed on the premises at any one time is 75.

Elton Village Hall is a charity and run by a small group of volunteer trustees whom all live in Elton.

On entering Elton Village Hall through the front doorway, you are greeted by the main hall. Its generous size and open space makes it ideal for both small meetings and larger gatherings. There is a small stage area to the rear, with a serving hatch and door to the kitchen, as well as the door to the outside toilets. The stage area has a large drop-down projector screen for use by anybody hiring the hall.

Access to the side storeroom can be obtained from the main hall or kitchen. From here, you can access up to 60 chairs and 15 tables. In the storeroom, you will also find double-doors which lead outside to the front of the building and are used as the fire escape and disabled access for wheelchair users.

The hall is fully lit and has 6 element heaters located around the room.

The hall is approximately 11.65 metres (38ft) long and 4.80 metres (15.5ft)wide.

The hall ,excluding the stage area, is approximately 8.35 metres (27ft) long and 4.80 metres (15.5ft) wide.

The stage area is approximately 3.30 metres (11ft) long and 4.80 metres (15.5ft) wide.

Our kitchen was completely refurbished in February 2015. Whether you are having a birthday party or fundraiser, Elton Village Hall has a modern, fully equipped kitchen that will meet all your catering needs. There is an electric hob and fan oven with extractor, fridge, microwave, kettle, urn and hostess trolley. The kitchen has a full range of cutlery, cups, sauces, glasses, plates, bowls, teapots, tea towels and much more.

The sink has a fully functioning hot water boiler for washing pots and hands.


Toilets

Our toilets are located outside of the main hall. But don’t worry! They are only several feet away from the side doorway, down a couple of steps and the walkway is covered over. Wheelchair users can access the toilets by leaving the hall through the front double doors and making their way down the side of the building.

We have ladies and gents toilets with adaptations for the disabled.

Elton Village Hall has other equipment that you might find helpful. These include, fire extinguishers, 2 wheelchairs, induction loop amplifier, vacuum cleaner, brushes, mop and bucket.

Location

Elton Village Hall is located on West End, Elton. The hall can be clearly seen from the roadside, just past the church, at the top of Well Street. The postcode for use in a SatNav is DE4 2BZ.

We do not have any off-street parking. There is often parking spaces available directly outside the building on the public highway. We cannot, however, guarantee there will be parking spaces on the roadside at the time of your booking.
