A new exercise class has started in Elton… Bokwa the Alphabet Dance.
Sessions are to be held in Elton Village Hall on Tuesday nights between 7:30pm and 8:30pm every fortnight.

The ‘Elton Echo’ is the parish’s quarterly newsletter. It contains news, information and notices relating to Elton and neighbouring Gratton.
Village residents, clubs and organisations are invited to publish their news, views, stories and diary events in the newsletter.
The Elton Echo is also available for advertising your business and items for sale. It is delivered free of charge to all households in Elton and Gratton.

Elton Echo Issue 37 (Spring 2014)

It is with regret that the recycling site at Elton Jubilee Field will be withdrawn between 10 and 30 January 2014.
The decision has been made because fewer materials have been deposited at the site since the introduction of new doorstep recycling facilities.
HW Martin who operate the sites have said that the decline in usage means that it is no longer financially viable for them to continue running the sites.
Once a date has been set for withdrawal, notices will be displayed at the site. The site will be given a final clean once the containers are removed.

The meeting between Elton residents and Winster Village Shop, due to take place on Monday 2nd December 2013, has been postponed.
The Shop Board would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
The Shop Board is keen to know what Elton residents want from the shop so a meeting will be rearranged for January 2014.

Join the community in lighting up the two Christmas trees and then onto the village hall where you are warmly invited for free mulled wine and mince pies.

Elton Christmas Tree light-up will take place on Sunday 8 December 2013 at 6pm.
The evening will start at with the lighting-up of the small tree on the village green (by the telephone box).
We will then move onto to light-up the tree at Elton church.
Everybody is then invited back to Elton Village Hall for free mince pies and mulled wine.
All welcome!
The Elton Jubilee Field has taken another step forward with its Improvement Project.
After successful applying to the Peak District National Park to consider allowing PVC windows as opposed to timber, the new windows and doors have been installed.

Following the success of the last music night, Elton Jubilee Field will be holding another event outside the Duke of York, Elton.
September 28TH from 7pm with music from 8pm.
The band this time will be Swansong from Sheffield.
