Weather Warning! – Friday 6th July 2012

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for Friday 6 July.
Heavy and persistent rain is likely to extend north and west across many eastern, central and some northern parts of England, with totals of 20 to 40mm, and perhaps exceeding 60 or even 70mm in place.
With the ground being near-saturated in many areas, these amounts of rain are likely to cause problems and we are warned to be prepared for the possibility of surface water flooding in parts of Derbyshire.
