Elton’s Defibrillator

Elton’s defibrillator is located in the telephone box on the village green, Main Street, Elton (DE4 2BW).

If you suspect somebody is having a cardiac arrest, call 999 immediately from any landline or mobile telephone.

Below is an instructional video by the Saint John’s Ambulance on how to use a defibrillator.

The Elton defibrillator is registered with the East Midlands Ambulance Service. If you call 999 the advisor will tell you if device is needed, how to access it and how to use it. Do not remove a defibrillator from its cabinet or attempt to use it unless instructed to do so by the emergency services.

The device uses verbal and visual instructions. The defibrillator can also detect if a patient is having a cardiac arrest and if the device is needed. You cannot cause greater harm using a defibrillator.
