Elton Jubilee Field was founded in 1977 when the village came together to fundraise and purchase the field for the community and wider public to have a safe place for sports, play and recreational activities. The field is a registered charity (no. 507662) and managed by a small committee of volunteer trustees.
Over the past decade the field has undergone a much needed improvement project which aims to replace the dilapidated Pavilion with a state of the art club house and install a new multi use games area and new children’s play area. A massive amount of fundraising has been undertaken over the years from within the village to build the clubhouse and make it a reality. The focus is now turning to purchasing a new children’s play area to replace the old one which has been in place for over 20 years.
Images below show plans and a visual image of the proposals. The amount needed to get the new equipment is £48,000 plus VAT. This is a tall order but something we are willing to work tirelessly to raise on behalf of our committee, community and young children.
As well as fundraising through a Just Giving page online, we will be applying for larger grants from other sources. In the meantime, however, this page is an opportunity for you to show your support, contribute what you can and help show community spirit in making this happen. Please help however you can – financially or by spreading the word.
