2 ROAD CLOSURE UPDATES – WINSTER AND SOUTH DARLEY WARD
Please see below two updates for planned road closures in the Winster and South Darley Ward which have been provided by Colin Swindell – your District Councillor.

MAIN ROAD, WENSLEY (B5057) FOR SEVERN TRENT WORKS
The road closure planned for 12th April 2021 has been CANCELLED.
This closure has now been RESCHEDULED to take place between 2nd June and 4th June 2021. I will post a reminder nearer to the time.

MAIN ROAD, WINSTER (BETWEEN THE JUNCTION OF EAST BANK AND LEACROFT ROAD)
WHEN: 15th April to 17th April 2021.
REASON: to facilitate new water main.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Main Street, Elton Road, B5056, A6 Bakewell Road, Dale Road North, Eversleigh Rise, Wensley Road, Winster and vice versa.

Please share this information with friends and family who might use these routes for daily commuting and travel.
When road closures are in place, please keep in mind that surrounding roads will be busier than normal as other vehicles try to find an alternative route.
When planning an alternative route, please remember that Oker Road, Oker and Lees Road, Stanton, remain closed due to landlips.
