The team on site in Elton will soon be looking to move past the Duke of York pub. This is the section of the road which get really narrow so vehicles won’t have access through this section and will have to follow the diversion.
The team will only need to replace the water pipes up to The Bungalows/Pinfold Cottage, West End. The water pipes further along were replaced not that long ago, so there is no need to go all the way down West End. We expect it to take 4 weeks to complete this section of work.
Once the section on West End is complete, the team will need to connect the pipe that is currently fenced off at Oddo Farm to the connection point at the other side of the entrance to the farm. We are expecting this section to take up to 2 weeks to complete. Cliff Lane will remain open at all times for access. This will hopefully solve the current leak at the bottom of Dark Lane and close to the farm entrance.
As part of the works, the team also hope to reconnect the old pump on the main street through the village.
