Government Guidance, Self-Isolating and Support
- Government guidance has changed. Residents are asked to stay at home as much as possible to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus, reduce pressure on our NHS and save lives. You should only go out for exercise or essential journeys. Limit contact with other people.
– - If you go out for exercise or essential journeys, only mix with people from the same household. You should always maintain a 2 metre distance from others.
– - You should work from home where possible. You should only travel to work if you cannot work from home and it is safe to do so. Avoid public transport and travel by car, bike or on foot.
– - Stay at home and isolate yourself if you or anyone in your household has symptoms of Coronavirus.
– - For full details on the government’s guidelines, visit gov.uk/coronavirus
– - People with underlying health conditions or considered to be vulnerable from infection with Coronavirus should continue to self-isolate.
– - Elton residents who are self-isolating can get support by calling either Colin Swindell on 07816 986 956 or Carolyn Wilson on 01629 650 757. We will get one of our volunteers to assist.
– - Derbyshire County Council has set-up a Community Response Unit in partnership with other voluntary organisations. This unit aims to help with shopping, checking-in on people, collecting and delivering prescriptions and preparing meals. Register for help online at derbyshire.gov.uk or call 01629 535 091.
