Please see below clarification for 2 planned road closures in South Darley Ward. I hope you find this information helpful.

MAIN ROAD, WENSLEY (B5057) FOR SEVERN TRENT WORKS
2 JUNE 2021
The road closure planned for 2 June has been CANCELLED.
In an email I have received from County Hall, the Highways Officer states that the permit to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out the works has been revoked. There are currently too many road closures and diversion routes in the locality.
I have requested that the road closure notices currently on the highway be removed to avoid confusion.
No date has been given for when the works have been rescheduled to take place.

MAIN ROAD, DARLEY BRIDGE (B5057) TO FACILITATE REMEDIAL WORKS
6 JUNE 2021
As far as I am aware, this road closure is due to take place as planned.
I have asked if there is a possibility that the road closure might be cancelled due to the number of road closures and diversion in place (as in the case above). I will update you if and when I get further details.

Please share this information with friends and family who might use these routes for daily commuting and travel.
When road closures are in place, please keep in mind that surrounding roads will be busier than normal as other vehicles try to find an alternative route.
When planning an alternative route, please remember that Oker Road, Oker and Lees Road, Stanton, remain closed due to landlips.
PLEASE NOTE – road closures are the responsibility of Derbyshire County Council who has provided this information. As your District Councillor I am passing this on for your information only. I do not have any influence or further details on these matters. Any questions or complaints regarding these road closures should be made directly to County Hall on 01629 533190
Thanks
Colin Swindell
District Councillor
