Elton Village Hall – reopening 17 May
We are delighted to announce that from tomorrow, Monday 17 May 2021, Elton Village Hall will reopen its doors to the community and general public for bookings.
The reopening comes as the Government’s ‘road map out of lockdown’ allows the hospitality and entertainments sector to invite people to meet indoors again.
To enable the Village Hall to reopen a number of covid-secure measures have been put in place. These are for your own safety and are required by law.
Anybody using the village hall must adhere to these rules:
- No more than 12 people to be in the main hall at one time.
- Only one person to be in the toilets and kitchen at one time.
- Users of the village hall must keep 2 meters apart.
- Face coverings must be worn when inside the hall. This does not apply to children under 11 years of age and anybody medically exempt.
- A sanitiser station can be found at the entrance to the hall. Please sanitise your hands on entry.
- Hand sanitisers are located by the kitchen and toilet sinks for regular use.
- When entering the village hall, please register your details to assist with NHS track and trace.
- Please wipe down tables and chairs that have been used. Antibacterial cleaning wipes and sprays are available from the sanitising station by the front door and in the kitchen. Please return after use.
- There will be a 2 to 3 day gap between bookings to allow for ventilation.
- The hall will be cleaned after every booking. All tables, chairs, surfaces and touchpoints will be treated with anti-bacterial spray and wipes.
A number of notices have been put around the hall reminding users of the measures in place.
Anybody wishing to book the hall should contact Sue Lightfoot on 01629 650 641. Please do not use the email address on this website to make a booking.
If you have any comments or questions about the above measures, please contact me at elton@live.co.uk or on 07816 986 956.
Thank you
